Food For Thought VI
Society today is very quick to discourage prejudging someone based on the way they are dressed, or how they behave. Instead, we are to get to know someone and judge them based on the content of their character rather than appearances. And this is all well and good in most circumstances.
However, lets say you come up across this couple here.

Would it be irrational to assume they are into the whole “goth” thing? And not only that, but would it then be too much to assume they would also be into other aspects of the goth culture, like mutilation, and emotional instability?
It’s true that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, but when someone goes so far out of their way to put themselves into a stereotype, wouldn’t the best thing to do be to assign the other attributes of said stereotype? In fact, it seems that would be exactly what the person in question would want. Just a thought.
